Watchers, Installation at Dana Hall Gallery
A sculptural installation with nine three-quarter life size figures modelled from life incorporating Gothic iconography.
The Watchers, reminiscent of traditional guardian figures, are in the guise of beings that appear human bu miss the mark. They are confrontational figures perched above the viewer’s eye, suggesting mammalian birds ready to pounce
The installation addresses ongoing questions to do with our complex psychological relationships with sculptural objects.
