Installation at Wilkinson Hall, N.Y.A.A., NYC

A life-size installation with four figures assembled from indexical parts in which requests are submitted without rejection or acceptance. The heads are multiple casts from the same life cast index and the artist's body served as the mold for the figures' bodies and extremities.

The figures are travelers on a mission with an undisclosed, perhaps irrelevant, objective. Figures of monks are an ongoing source of interest. As symbols, they are a way to address tensions between individuation and group identity in communities. Cloaking the body pares down its complex forms, making it a singular unit rather than a collection of limbs projecting from torsos.
