Ann Hirsch Sculpture Studio
Ann earned a B.A. in Art History from Barnard College, Columbia University, and Master’s degrees from N.Y.U. and the New York Academy of Art.In addition to her work as a public artist, Ann teaches undergraduate sculpture and she shows her work in New York and Massachusetts.

Ann Hirsch's Bill Russell Legacy Project artwork for City Hall Plaza Boston, developed in conjunction with Pressley Associates, was unveiled at Boston City Hall on November 1, 2013. The artwork includes Bill Russell's words engraved in granite as well as a bronze sculpture of Bill Russell and celebrates the legacy of a man who is a human rights activist, national mentorship leader and eleven time champion basketball player and coach.

"Russell in Bronze", a documentary chronicling the behind-the-scenes construction of the Bill Russell statue with interviews with Bill Russell, Red Auerbach, David Stern, Steve Pagliuca, Mayor Menino, and Ann Hirsch, airs on CSN: November 16 - 3:00pm, November 19 - 7:00pm, November 21 - 9:30pm, November 24 - 10 & 11pm AND November 28 - 11:30am & 8:30pm. A n n H i r s c h and R o b e r t O l s o n, of Robert Olson + Associates Architects, to be one of three finalist teams in competition for a monument to Edgar Allan Poe in Boston from a pool of 265 entries from 42 states and 13 countries.

September 2011 > A n n H i r s c h appointed Adjunct Faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design and begins teaching semester in Providence and continues at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University.
